Commentary:

These verses are part of a larger section in Colossians 3 where Paul is giving practical instructions for Christian living. These verses are often interpreted as a call to wholehearted service in every aspect of life, whether secular or sacred.

1. Wholehearted Service: The phrase “whatever you do, do it heartily” suggests that our actions, whether big or small, should be enthusiastic and committed. This includes our work, our relationships, and our service to others. It’s a reminder that in all things, we are ultimately serving God, not just men.
